Huntington County Hometown Improvement Charitable Giving Pillar

Current Status:

• Chair: Michael Howell
• Members Recruited To Date: Kathy Branham
• Looking to recruit team members from throughout Huntington County
• Open to contact by interested persons

Charitable Giving Pillar Vision:

Create endowments to support in perpetuity the programs and projects developed in support of our county-wide community

Charitable Giving Pillar Immediate Priorities:

• Recruit additional Charitable Giving Pillar Team Members
• Work with community leaders to promote HCHI
• Support HCHI Launch and Community Assessment Process

Charitable Giving Pillar Long-term Goal:

• To engage the entire Huntington County community in identifying the assets, determining the needs, and improving their individual communities by capturing a portion of the upcoming intergenerational transfer of wealth (TOW)

Work in progress:

• Community assessment questions developed
• November 2010 TOW Report obtained
• Team member recruitment process begun
